I have been in private practice in Coral Gables, Florida since 2006 and founded Golden Psychiatric Center.  Previously, I was an Assistant Professor for the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. During which time, I was involved in the training of psychiatric residents and served as Medical Director of the Adult Outpatient Psychiatry Clinics at Jackson Memorial Hospital.

I completed my Psychiatry Residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital and served as Chief Resident my last year.  I as well completed a Pediatric Residency at JMH.  I received my Medical Degree in 1991 from the University of South Florida College of Medicine and graduated Cum Laude from the University of Miami where I majored in psychology and minored in Chemistry.

My areas of interests include Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, OCD, Eating Disorders, Family Issues, Mindfulness, and Spirituality.  I particularly enjoy working with college students. My background has provided me with a solid foundation to treat a broad spectrum of psychiatric disorders, providing psychiatric evaluations, psychopharmacological (medication) management, and therapy.

I decided to pursue my goal of establishing a multidisciplinary center, Golden Psychiatric. This is a comprehensive mental health center in Coral Gables providing psychiatric and psychological treatment.  My mission is to provide the most personalized, high quality mental health treatment in a caring and relaxed atmosphere.
